Corrosion Control Specialist -

(Saudi National Only)

Grade: 8

Working hours: full time

Responsibilities

• Identifies types of corrosion and types of metal corroded.
• Removes corrosion using chemical and mechanical techniques.
• Performs metal etching.
• Applies primer and surface coats.
• Uses corrosion detection, measuring, metal identification and special cleaning, treatment and application equipment.
• Mixes/blends special cleaning and protective materials.
• Prepares maintenance documentation and reports.
• Maintains corrosion control equipment.
• Reporting to the Corrosion Control Specialist Supervisor. To work in a team environment being led on a day to day basis by a team supervisor.
• Be able to work with minimum of supervision but being checked regularly during daily activities.

Job Requirements

• National civilian / military equivalent and successful completion of a recognised national aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship OR HNC Level in Engineering or equivalent.
• Have at least 5 years post qualification relevant experience supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP).
• Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.
• Understand and use Maintenance GOLD system or similar platform.
• Be fully conversant with the interpretation of technical diagrams and documentation
• Broad Aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
• Post holder must be HF trained.
• Hold a current driving license.
