Role Overview

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing project costs, preparing budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost reports for projects and operations.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and variances to ensure financial control.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to track costs and resource allocation.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and Qatari regulations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and audit documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and overhead costs.
• Provide management with actionable insights for cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in engineering or construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certifications (CMA, CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
