Job Title: Accountant

Location: Doha – Qatar
Department: Finance / Accounting
Reports to: Finance Manager / Chief Accountant / CFO

Visa: Transferable residency in Qatar

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support budgeting, reporting, and audits. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of general accounting principles and hands-on experience in maintaining accurate financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and documentation.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with labor and tax laws (if applicable).
  • Assist with inventory accounting, cost tracking, or asset management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with spreadsheets and financial analysis tools.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification (or in progress).
  • Experience in manufacturing, retail, trading & production industry.
  • Knowledge of local tax laws and regulatory compliance.
