Job Summary:
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and controlling costs across production, procurement, and inventory operations. The role focuses on ensuring accurate cost allocation, improving cost efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze production costs, raw materials, and operational expenses
- Prepare monthly cost reports and variance analysis (actual vs. budget)
- Develop and maintain standard costing systems for products
- Conduct inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and cost adjustments
- Analyze wastage, yield, and efficiency in manufacturing processes
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Work closely with production and procurement teams to control costs
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Assist in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) cost module management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (CMA / ACCA / CPA) preferred
- 3–6 years of experience in manufacturing or FMCG industry
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Working as a cost accountant in UAE: 5 years (Required)
- FMCG/Manufacturing in UAE: 2 years (Required)
Work Location: In person
