1. Costing Framework & Process Standardization

• Develop, implement, and continuously refine standard costing systems across all manufacturing units and product categories.
• Define and monitor raw material consumption standards, machine-hour and labour-hour norms in coordination with production teams.
• Review and update Bill of Materials (BOMs), process routing, and cost master data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Ensure timely cost roll-ups in ERP and establish clear linkages between standard, actual, and budgeted costs.

2. Budgeting, Monitoring & Variance Analysis

• Assist the CFO in preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling projections for both PWDS and Stylcove.
• Conduct detailed budget vs actual and standard vs actual variance analyses, identifying key deviations and their root causes.
• Present variance dashboards and management review reports with actionable insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Drive monthly plant cost reviews, ensuring corrective measures are implemented promptly.

3. Cost Optimization & Savings Initiatives

• Lead cost-saving programs by identifying opportunities in material yield improvement, scrap reduction, energy utilization, and process automation.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and engineering teams to implement continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
• Track the financial impact of cost reduction measures and report realized savings to the CFO.
• Introduce benchmarking mechanisms against industry peers to measure competitiveness and efficiency.

4. Control & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and statutory cost audit requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls for inventory valuation, WIP management, and cost data accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support cost audit documentation and reconciliation processes.
• Maintain cost records in compliance with the Companies Act and CMA reporting standards.

5. Data Analytics & Reporting

• Build and automate cost performance dashboards (Budget vs Actual, Standard vs Actual, Benchmark vs Actual) using Excel or Power BI.
• Deliver monthly cost performance presentations to the CFO and management.
• Support feasibility analysis for CAPEX, new products, and pricing decisions through cost modelling and sensitivity analysis.
