Cost Control Engineer – Landscape Construction Projects
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented
Cost Control Engineer
with proven experience in
landscape construction projects
. The ideal candidate will support project teams by monitoring budgets, controlling expenditures, and ensuring accurate financial reporting to achieve cost-effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Establish and maintain
cost control systems
for landscape construction projects.

Prepare and monitor
project budgets
, forecasts, and cost tracking reports.

Analyze
cost variances
and recommend corrective actions.

Review
BOQs, cost breakdowns, and progress reports
for hardscape, softscape, and irrigation works.
-
Coordinate with
Project Managers, Planning, Procurement, and QS teams
to ensure accurate financial data.

Verify and process
subcontractor and supplier invoices
, variations, and claims.
-
Prepare
monthly cost reports
and assist in forecasting project cash flows.
-
Participate in
tendering and estimation
activities for upcoming projects.

Support in identifying
value engineering opportunities
to optimize project costs.

Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in
Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Finance
.

Minimum
3–7 years of experience
in
cost control
within the
construction industry
, preferably in
landscape projects
.

Strong understanding of
landscape works
, including softscape, hardscape, and irrigation systems.
-
Proficient in
MS Excel
and
ERP or cost control software
(e.g. SAP, Oracle).
-
Knowledge of
FIDIC contracts
or similar standards is an advantage.

Excellent
analytical and reporting skills
.

Strong
communication and teamwork
abilities.
