Job Description

Our company is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to manage and monitor project costs across ongoing construction works. The role is responsible for ensuring that project expenditures remain within the approved budget while maintaining accurate cost reporting and financial tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost control systems and cost codes.
• Monitor actual project expenditures vs approved budget.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, including budget variance and cost forecasts.
• Track material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with Planning Engineer and Quantity Surveyor to align cost and progress data.
• Review supplier and subcontractor invoices for cost compliance.
• Monitor variation orders and change requests and evaluate their financial impact.
• Prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC) and forecast project financial performance.
• Support the Commercial and Project Management teams with cost analysis and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction cost control.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ analysis, project budgeting, and cost reporting.
• Experience working on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Excel and cost control reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Gulf construction projects.
• Familiarity with ERP or project cost management systems.
• Ability to coordinate with commercial, planning, and procurement teams.
