Cost Control Engineer

  • Monitor and control project budgets, expenditures, and overall cost performance throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports, budget forecasts, variance analyses, and financial summaries for management review and decision-making.
  • Track and analyze costs related to structural steel fabrication, erection, transportation, installation, and subcontracting activities.
  • Evaluate actual project costs against approved budgets and estimated projections to identify deviations and financial risks.
  • Identify cost overruns, productivity gaps, and inefficiencies, while recommending corrective and preventive actions to maintain project profitability.
  • Monitor fabrication and erection productivity rates, labor utilization, and operational performance to ensure cost-effective execution.
  • Track and analyze raw material utilization including plates, beams, channels, pipes, fasteners, and consumables to minimize wastage and optimize material efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • 3–6 years of experience in cost control (steel fabrication / construction preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of material costing, and project costing
  • Good knowledge of Excel and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
