Job Title: Cost Control Engineer -Civil (High-Rise Building Projects)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience Required: 2–4 years (UAE experience mandatory)
Industry: Building Construction / Contracting
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, cost variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
- Track project progress and expenditures against budgeted costs.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of project budgets and cost estimates.
- Review subcontractor payments, invoices, and variations for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams for cost-related matters.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain proper documentation of all cost-related records and reports.
- Support in preparing monthly financial reports for management review.
- Assist in claims, variations, and change order evaluations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in cost control within building construction projects in the UAE.
- Experience in high-rise building construction is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of cost control processes, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with contract conditions (FIDIC knowledge is an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and cost control software (e.g., Primavera, ERP systems).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
