Job Description: Cost Control Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) – Oil & Gas

Location: Doha, Qatar (Candidates must be locally available with valid QID & transferable Visa/NOC)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Cost Control Engineer with a Mechanical or Electrical engineering background to support budgeting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and project controls for oil & gas projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of EPC project cost structures, and experience coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update project budgets, cost plans, and forecasting schedules.
• Track all project expenditures, commitments, invoices, and variations.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and cash‑flow projections.
• Review purchase requisitions, material requests, subcontractor invoices, and service orders.
• Maintain cost breakdown structures (CBS) and ensure accurate cost coding.
• Support project management in cost-related decisions, risk identification, and mitigation.
• Coordinate with planning for cost–schedule integration and progress measurement.
• Prepare cost‑related documentation, dashboards, and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and project cost control processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience in cost control for oil & gas / EPC projects.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, cost control tools, and reporting systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Understanding of CBS, budgeting, forecasting, and cost drivers.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Must be currently in Qatar with valid QID & transferable Visa/NOC.
• Immediate availability is mandatory.
