Job Title: Cost Control Manager – Landscape Construction Projects

Location: Riyadh

About the Role

We are looking for a Cost Control Manager with strong experience in landscape construction projects to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project costs from tender to final account, ensuring that all landscape works are delivered within budget while maintaining high quality and compliance with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems for landscape construction projects.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets , cash flows, and cost forecasts.
  • Track and control project expenditures against budget, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Review and validate BOQs, unit rates, and cost breakdowns for softscape, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, and related works.
  • Analyze cost variances and prepare regular cost reports (weekly/monthly) for management and clients.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Planning, Procurement, and QS teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date cost data.
  • Review and verify subcontractor and supplier invoices , variations, and claims.
  • Support in tendering and estimation for new landscape projects, including cost benchmarking and value engineering proposals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose corrective actions where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions and company policies related to cost control and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance , or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in cost control within the construction industry , with a strong focus on landscape projects (softscape & hardscape).
  • Proven experience with landscape construction packages : earthworks, paving, planting, irrigation systems, site furniture, lighting, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of project cost management, budgeting, and forecasting .
  • Familiarity with contract forms (e.g. FIDIC or similar) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and cost control/ERP software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
