Job Overview

The Cost Control & Planning Engineer will support the client’s project management team by monitoring project schedules, controlling costs, and ensuring alignment between progress, budget, and contractual requirements. The role involves detailed planning, reporting, and analysis to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget..

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain the project schedule (baseline and updates)
  
• Monitor project progress and compare against planned timelines
  
• Perform critical path analysis and identify potential delays
  
• Prepare and update progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
  
• Track project costs, commitments, and expenditures
  
• Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions
  
• Review contractors’ schedules, progress reports, and payment applications
  
• Support evaluation of claims, variations, and extensions of time (EOT)
  
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, and consultants on planning issues
  
• Ensure integration between cost control and project scheduling
  
• Assist in risk analysis and forecasting (time and cost impact)
  
• Maintain proper records of project performance data
