Job Description –Cost Control Specialist

Location: Reco Diq, Balochistan
Rotation: 28 days on / 14 days off
Department: Project Controls
Reports to: Director

Purpose of the Position:
To monitor, analyze, and control project costs throughout all phases, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost allocation, and financial reporting in line with company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project cost control systems, budgets, and forecasts.
• Track and report project expenditures, commitments, and cost variances.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and highlight deviations against approved budgets.
• Monitor procurement, logistics, and subcontractor costs to ensure compliance with approved estimates.
• Support project management in financial decision-making and risk assessment.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide updated cost performance indicators.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Contracts teams for integrated project control.
• Ensure cost data accuracy and consistency across all reporting systems.
• Assist in preparation of project change orders and variation cost evaluations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, cost control software (e.g., Primavera Cost, SAP, or similar).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
