Education-:Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA)
Experience-:5–8 years of relevant experience in cost control, preferably in manufacturing/plant environment.
- Prior exposure to plant operations and inventory management is desirable
Responsibilities-:
- Cost Accounting & Control
- Manage standard costing, overhead absorption, and cost allocations.
- Monitor BOMs (Bill of Materials), process costs, WIP, and finished goods valuation.
- Track and analyze direct & indirect costs for plant operations.
- Variance Analysis
- Perform monthly variance analysis (standard vs. actual costs, production yield, efficiency, material usage).
- Report and explain deviations to management with corrective actions.
- Inventory & Consumption Monitoring
- Ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, consumables, WIP, and finished goods.
- Conduct periodic physical verification and reconciliation of stocks.
- Support inventory valuation as per accounting standards.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparation of annual plant budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Track actual vs. budget costs and highlight deviations.
- Controls & Compliance
- Implement strong internal controls for material issuance, scrap, and wastage monitoring.
- Support internal/external audits related to plant costing and inventory.
- Business Partnering
- Work closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams.
- Provide cost insights to drive efficiency and productivity improvement initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Exposure to manufacturing/plant accounting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Power BI for cost analytics.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with plant teams.
