Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to manage cost accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis across our FMCG operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production costing, supply chain finance, and margin analysis to support management in decision-making and cost optimization.
Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and control production and operational costs across manufacturing and distribution functions

Develop and maintain standard cost models for raw materials, packaging, labor, and overheads

Prepare detailed cost variance reports (actual vs. budget) and identify root causes of deviations

Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and production teams to ensure accurate costing data

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes with accurate cost data and accruals

Evaluate new product costing and provide input during pricing and product development stages

Review and analyze manufacturing efficiency, waste levels, and yield reports

Maintain cost allocation processes and ensure consistency across departments

Assist in budgeting and forecasting by providing reliable cost projections

Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, audit requirements, and company policies
Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CMA or ACCA preferred)

4 - 7 years of experience in cost control or management accounting, preferably within the FMCG sector

Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, bill of materials, and standard costing

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills

Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
