Landship Engineering & Construction LLC is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Estimator for construction projects in Abu Dhabi.( warehouse, commercial, and industrial)

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and pricing proposals by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and scope documents. The role requires strong commercial awareness, cost control capability, and coordination with procurement, technical, and project teams to ensure competitive and profitable project submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Draft itemized trade-wise BOQs as per project scope and specifications
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontract works
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations for completeness and competitiveness
• Coordinate with procurement, commercial, and technical teams during tender submissions
• Ensure timely submission of pricing packages before tender deadlines
• Maintain alignment between BOQ quantities and approved drawings
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering
• Suggest alternative materials or execution methods without affecting quality
• Monitor project cost deviations and prepare variance analysis reports
• Maintain updated rate databases based on current market conditions
• Support project teams in understanding tender assumptions and approved budgets
• Prepare estimation reports, BOQ summaries, and final project cost reports
• Maintain historical records of tendered and completed projects for future reference

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): BOQ Accuracy & Preparation

• 100% BOQs completed without major errors
• 100% alignment between BOQ quantities and drawings
• Zero revisions due to quantity discrepancies

Timely Tender Submission

• 100% cost estimates delivered within internal deadlines
• All BOQs submitted before final bid submission timelines

Cost Estimation vs. Project Award Variance

• ≤ 1% deviation between estimated cost and awarded contract value
• All estimation variances analyzed and documented
• Variations outside project scope properly estimated and billed

Value Engineering

• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Recommend alternative materials and construction methods
• Coordinate with design and procurement teams for implementation

Market-Driven Rate Analysis

• Monthly update of internal rate database
• Vendor rates updated within the last 30 days

Proposal Quality & Documentation

• 100% proposals submitted with pricing summaries and assumptions
• Zero missing commercial documents during handover

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in estimation and tendering
• Experience in warehouse, industrial, or commercial construction projects
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, and cost estimation
• Knowledge of construction materials, subcontracting, and market rates
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills
• Experience in Abu Dhabi / UAE projects preferred
