We are seeking a Cost Manager as part of DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, KSA Branch. The role is to oversee the financial performance and cost control of complex projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project budgets, ensuring cost compliance, and implementing robust reporting processes. Oversee the financial performance and cost control of complex projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project budgets, ensuring cost compliance, and implementing robust reporting processes.
Cost Management & Control

Develop, monitor, and maintain project cost baselines, forecasts, and budgets.

Ensure cost alignment with contractual requirements, project objectives, and client expectations.

Perform variance analysis between planned and actual costs, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
Timesheet & Resource Tracking

Manage and oversee the timesheet submission and approval workflow across all project re-sources.

Ensure accuracy and compliance of timesheets with project codes, billing requirements, and contractual frameworks.

Train and support project staff in proper use of timesheet processes.

Project Management Tools (PMT)

Serve as the focal point for PMT cost and resource modules, ensuring data integrity and time-ly reporting.

Configure and maintain project structures (work breakdown structures, cost codes, resource allocations) within PMT.

Generate weekly and monthly cost reports directly from PMT for internal and client reporting.
Stakeholder Management

Act as primary interface between project managers, finance teams, and client representatives on all cost-related matters.

Provide advice on contractual cost implications and change order evaluations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; Master’s de-gree is an advantage.

Minimum 7+ years of experience in project cost control/management, ideally within infrastructure, engineering, or consulting industries.

Proven expertise in PMT (Project Management Tools) and related timesheet systems.

Strong knowledge of time & materials contracts, resource billing models, and project accounting standards.

Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools (Power BI preferred).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Background in railway, infrastructure, or large-scale engineering projects.

Experience with multi-cultural teams and international projects.
-
Familiarity with Saudi/GCC client reporting requirements (if role is based in the Middle East).
