Cost & Planning Engineer – Oil & Gas / EPC Projects
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain integrated project cost and schedule control systems for EPC and Oil & Gas projects from initiation to close-out.

Prepare project budgets, cost forecasts, and variance analyses, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and contractual requirements.

Monitor project progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to track cost and schedule performance.

Review and validate contractor invoices, variations, and claims, ensuring compliance with contract terms and approved budgets.

Develop and maintain Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and support Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for effective cost and planning control.

Support project planning activities, including schedule development, baseline preparation, and progress monitoring using industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6).

Identify cost risks, trends, and potential overruns, and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain project financial health.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to ensure accurate cost and schedule integration across EPC phases.

Prepare monthly project control reports and dashboards, providing clear visibility of cost performance, forecasts, and key project metrics to management.

Ensure compliance with company cost control procedures, project controls standards, and Oil & Gas industry best practices.

Experience Requirements:

8–12 years of experience in Cost Control, Planning, or Project Controls roles.

Proven experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, or large infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with full EPC project lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction).
