Cost & Planning Engineer – Oil & Gas / EPC Projects
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain integrated project cost and schedule control systems for EPC and Oil & Gas projects from initiation to close-out.
  • Prepare project budgets, cost forecasts, and variance analyses, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor project progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to track cost and schedule performance.
  • Review and validate contractor invoices, variations, and claims, ensuring compliance with contract terms and approved budgets.
  • Develop and maintain Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and support Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for effective cost and planning control.
  • Support project planning activities, including schedule development, baseline preparation, and progress monitoring using industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6).
  • Identify cost risks, trends, and potential overruns, and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain project financial health.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to ensure accurate cost and schedule integration across EPC phases.
  • Prepare monthly project control reports and dashboards, providing clear visibility of cost performance, forecasts, and key project metrics to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company cost control procedures, project controls standards, and Oil & Gas industry best practices.

Experience Requirements:
  • 8–12 years of experience in Cost Control, Planning, or Project Controls roles.
  • Proven experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, or large infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with full EPC project lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction).
