Costing Supervisor

1. JOB PURPOSE:

To oversee and manage the costing activities, ensure accurate cost analysis, monitor cost control processes, and support management with financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.


2. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and review product or project costing and ensure accuracy of cost calculations.
  • Monitor cost allocation and ensure proper recording of direct and indirect costs.
  • Analyze cost variances and identify reasons for deviations from budget or standard costs.
  • Prepare periodic cost reports and provide recommendations to management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to operational and production costs.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate cost data.
  • Review supplier costs, material costs, and labor costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
  • Assist in improving costing systems and cost control processes.
  • Supervise and guide the costing team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.


3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is a plus.

Experience:

  • 7–8 years of experience in costing, accounting, or financial analysis.

Languages:

  • Proficiency in Arabic and English.


4. PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPENETNICES:

  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of cost accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP (Oracle Fusion) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and team supervision skills.
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
