Position Overview

The School Counselor is responsible for supporting the academic, emotional, social, and personal development of students. The role focuses on guiding students through their educational journey, addressing their concerns, and fostering a positive and healthy school environment.

Mumbai, delhi, kolkata based candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Guidance & Support

Provide one-on-one counseling to students to address academic, personal, emotional, and social challenges.

Help students develop coping strategies, positive thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Assist students in goal-setting related to academics, careers, and personal growth.

2. Academic Support

Monitor students’ academic progress and collaborate with teachers to identify students who need additional help.

Guide students on study habits, time management, and exam stress management.

Conduct academic orientation sessions and workshops.

3. Behavioral & Emotional Counseling

Address behavioral issues, conflict resolution, bullying concerns, and emotional well-being.

Provide crisis intervention when required.

Promote mental health awareness and well-being programs in the school.

4. Career & Future Planning

Offer basic guidance on career options, subject choices, and higher education pathways (for middle & senior students).

Conduct group sessions on career awareness and personality development.

5. Parent & Teacher Collaboration

Communicate with parents regarding student progress, concerns, or behavioral patterns.

Work closely with teachers to develop student support plans.

Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide input on student well-being.

Qualifications & SkillsEducational Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology / Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology OR
  • Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Diploma in Counselling (minimum 1 year).

Skills Required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and student-friendly approach.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Experience in school counselling preferred.
  • Good documentation and record-keeping skills.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in student counselling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
