Central Hydraulics, a Singer Industrial company, is hiring a mechanically inclined Counter Sales / Service Intake Representative for our Daytona location. This is NOT a retail position. We are looking for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who can work directly with customers to diagnose needs, measure components, and provide hydraulic repair solutions.

Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position focused on:

Hydraulic service intake

Parts identification and assembly

Technical counter support
You will work directly with customers bringing in hydraulic components for repair. This role requires mechanical knowledge, precision measurement, and problem-solving ability-not just order taking.
What You’ll Do

Take in hydraulic components and write detailed service orders for repair

Measure seals, rods, and components using micrometers and precision tools

Identify and build seal kits and hydraulic component solutions

Work with customers to understand failures and recommend solutions

Enter orders and service tickets into ERP system with accuracy

Perform calculations using fractions and decimals for proper sizing and fit

Coordinate with shop technicians to ensure correct parts and repairs

Maintain an organized, efficient, and professional counter area
Required Experience

Hands-on mechanical background (automotive, diesel, equipment, machining, hydraulics, etc.)

Experience using hand tools and precision measuring tools (micrometer preferred)

Strong working knowledge of measurements, tolerances, and part identification

Comfortable with math (fractions, decimals, conversions)

Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP systems
Preferred Backgrounds

Hydraulic repair or fluid power experience

Mechanical assembly with measurement tools
