The Country Manager is responsible for leading and growing the assigned market unit by driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence and safeguarding full compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. The role combines commercial leadership with general management accountability, people leadership, and strong governance ownership.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Own and deliver the market unit’s sales strategy, revenue targets, and growth initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales organization to achieve and exceed commercial objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and strategic stakeholders.
- Monitor pipeline health, pricing discipline, forecasting accuracy, and deal governance.
Drive market positioning, go‑to‑market initiatives, and competitive differentiation within the assigned market.
- Manage P&L for the Market Unit.
- Translate corporate strategy into local execution plans and measurable outcomes.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with Elopak standards, global procedures and IT/systems.
- Manage resource planning, budgeting, and investment decisions for the market unit.
Act as the primary escalation point for critical business, operational, or customer issues.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls across sales, finance, HR, and operations.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate business, financial, and operational risks.
- Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and audit readiness at all times.
- Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance across the market unit.
Establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships in the local society, including public affairs within industry and sustainability associations.
- Lead, inspire, and engage a diverse, high‑performing team across functions.
- Set clear objectives, conduct performance management, and support talent development and succession planning.
- Foster an inclusive, ethical, and performance‑driven culture aligned with company values.
Ensure compliance with employment practices, labor regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Act as the primary interface between the market unit and regional or corporate leadership.
- Provide regular, transparent reporting on sales performance, financial results, risks, and compliance status.
Collaborate closely with finance, legal, HR, and compliance functions to ensure aligned execution.
- Ensure compliance with Elopak’s corporate sustainability standards and targets: certifications, carbon footprint, renewable energy.
- Support waste management and recycling understanding and own the action plan for increasing recyclability rates in the region.
- Mapping and controlling market trends, competitors, and local legislation regarding the use of plastic and recycling issues.
Support (and lead when required), sustainability related discussions, information flow, presenting Elopak’s program to commercial stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree within Economics / Marketing (Bachelor level) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership, business management, or general management role (Min. 10 years).
- Experience in System Sales.
- Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, Saudi legislation and Governmental affairs.
English and Arabic are mandatory.
