Job Description
Here in the Middle East, we partner with a number of strategic enterprise merchants such as Careem, Hungerstation, Ninja, Jarir, Tabby, Tamara and Almosafer.
We're looking for a Country Manager to lead one of our fastest-growing markets, Saudi Arabia. You'll be responsible for owning Revenue Growth in the Kingdom, from driving new business to nurturing our existing merchants. Checkout.com has market leading products and we compete globally with the best in payment performance. This role is about more than just managing; you'll be a hands-on leader who sells, coaches, mentors, and upskills a high-performing commercial team.
Reporting directly to the General Manager MENA, you'll collaborate with a wide range of internal teams including Partnerships, Marketing, Product, Technology and Legal to position Checkout.com as the leading payments provider in the Kingdom. You'll be a critical part of the leadership team in the region, shaping our overall strategy and ensuring our continued growth in this high-potential market.
The Responsibilities
Spearhead revenue growth for the Saudi Arabia market, overseeing a team of Sales and Account Managers to position Checkout.com as the leader in online payments.
Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for our global merchants and internal teams, acting as a key point of contact for anyone looking to succeed in Saudi Arabia.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key local partners, including regulators, banks, and other third-party entities, while acting as a legal point of contact and supporting licensing activities.
Coordinate a comprehensive growth plan and operational strategy to meet both our merchants' and our own business's ambitions, ensuring smooth and compliant processes in partnership with our Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
Partner with our product and technology teams to help shape and define a market-leading value proposition for the region.
Actively help grow our team on the ground in Saudi Arabia by attracting and retaining top talent, while also guiding decisions on team structure and efficiency as our footprint evolves.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading, inspiring and coaching high-performance Sales and account management teams for organizations in high-growth, fast-paced Enterprise B2B environments, most likely within payments.
A solid network of potential prospects and partners in the region is preferable, especially within key strategic verticals including e-commerce, digital platforms, fintech and government.
Have a strong grasp of the Saudi Arabia's booming e-commerce, fintech, and payment landscape, with the ability to think strategically and execute revenue growth strategies in identified regions or verticals.
Proven high-performance as an individual contributor in a full-cycle Sales role prior to developing into a manager of complex and high-performing teams
Highly collaborative, with the ability to work cross-functionally and provide insight to various internal stakeholders across the business
Proven ability to strategically leverage AI/Automation capabilities to drive efficiencies and superior outcomes in day-to-day commercial operations.
Tech-savvy, and will be passionate about removing friction for Enterprise customers by offering truly disruptive solutions
First-class communication and negotiation skills externally and adept at managing internal stakeholders
Highly organized and able to prioritize shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively
