EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position focuses on providing direct support to children and families where abuse or neglect has been identified. The work is active, community based, and centered on meeting the needs of vulnerable families. As a County Caseworker 2, you will perform the following duties:

Direct Service: Conduct assessments, investigations, and case management activities for children and families

Family Support: Provide guidance in areas such as home management, money management, employment, and daily living needs

Child Placement: Arrange foster care placements and ensure safe living environments during periods of transition

Community Engagement: Travel to homes, hospitals, and other locations to meet with families and coordinate care

Advocacy Work: Make referrals and coordinate services to increase the effectiveness of support provided

Professional Development: Participate in required county training leading to caseworker certification

Work Schedule and Additional Information:-
Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30 minute lunch.

Telework: No telework for the first six (6) months of employment. After an employee has completed six (6) months of employment and have regular status, there may be opportunities for hybrid work, per the program offices' hybrid schedule.
