Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Courier.

Position Status: Part Time – Second Shift

Position Location: Sentara Home Care Services – Chesapeake, VA

Salary Range: $15.75 – $20.45

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.

Overview

Performs as a transporter for various items such as deposits, medications, equipment, supplies, x-ray films, lab specimens, letters, marketing materials and packages. Proficient at performing 25% of all daily routes with the flexibility to work all three shifts in any geographic area when required. Required to operate vehicle safely, keeps vehicle clean and well maintained; maintain vehicle safety logs and submit requests for vehicle maintenance/repairs in a timely manner.

Education

• Highschool Graduate or Equivalent

Certification/Licensure

• Valid VA Driver's License

Experience

• Previous experience with professional driving/transportation (in health care industry preferred)

• Clean driving record

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Must be able to sit/drive for up to 90% of the time
