Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for compliance with all processes including and not limited to: timekeeping, attendance and punctuality, vehicle safety and cleanliness, safety and OSHA requirements, handheld /scanning device and usage, proper handling and storage of all samples from the facilities ( BCCC, CDF, HDU, MRDCC, MTC) to the drop off point, proper packing of specimens for shipment, end of day vehicle checks, dress code, code of conduct and all company policies and procedures
- Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of mails, supplies, reports, equipment and materials to the appropriate destination.
- Responsible for maintaining a valid driver’s license and driving record within acceptable company guidelines.
- Follow route as scheduled/sequenced while allowing for will-call stops and special pickups.
- Responsible for the daily pick up of lab specimen from CDF, MRDCC, and MTC with drop off at the State laboratory in Baltimore. This includes the use of carry bags to transport specimens from facilities to vehicle by temperature
- Maintain integrity of all mails, supplies, equipment etc. that are transported at all times.
- Assembly of medical equipment may be required periodically for the infirmary and dispensary areas at the Metropolitan transition Center and beyond.
- Must follow Time and Attendance policy daily as well as during meetings and training sessions.
- Loading and unloading any type of medical cargo
- Working closely with the supply clerk in the inventory of all equipment, as well as the administrative assistance for the delivery of all facility mails
- Reports to the Health Services Administrator
Key Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own/lease a car Must have proof of vehicle registration and auto insurance
- Good customer service skills. A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
