Courier Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service throughout each journey. A valid driver’s licence and experience in commercial driving are essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Plan delivery routes effectively to ensure timely arrivals at designated destinations.
• Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with proper handling techniques.
• Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups, maintaining clear communication with dispatch teams.
• Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous, professional, and responsive during deliveries.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organised vehicle to uphold safety standards and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
• Valid driver’s licence suitable for operating company vehicles (e.g., car or lorry driver licence).
• Experience working in warehouses or logistics environments is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Organised with the ability to manage time efficiently under tight schedules.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality service at all times.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
