Courier - Per Diem

Per diem/on call; varies as scheduled.

Job Summary:

Provide quality, safe, secure, efficient and timely specialized transportation for laboratory, supplies, mail and other items on an assigned route using hospital vehicle for services. Transport within Yakima and Benton Counties and other areas as assigned. The Courier is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of delivery vehicles at all times.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

High school Diploma or equivalent

Valid Driver’s license

Driving record in compliance with PMH Medical Center’s Motor Vehicle Driver Policy

Must be bondable under PMH insurance

Ability to use maps and follow instructions/directions

Comfortable transporting packages that may include blood, tissue and urine

Excellent communication skills

Excellent Customer Service skills and ability to work well with others

Ability to organize work, to meet deadlines, and work independently

Ability to safely operating a motor vehicle in all weather conditions and at all times with exposure to the elements, including wind, rain, snow and heat

Pay Range: $18.00-$27.50
