Job Summary
The NHC Courier-PRN will perform all duties working under limited supervision. This position is responsible for traveling on an as-needed basis to all NHC buildings to gather deposits, medical supplies, documents, interoffice mail, and other related materials, with the goal of delivery in a safe, timely manner to their destination.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate delivery of medical records, medical supplies, interoffice mail, deposits and related materials in a safe manner.
- Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
- Responsible for vehicle maintenance and alerting management of maintenance issues.
- Maintain full compliance with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
- Maintain highest professional and ethical standards.
- Following all applicable government regulations including HIPAA to ensure patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures, adjusting as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Operate company-owned vehicle responsibly, performing routine inspections for cleanliness and safety.
- Must have valid Indiana Driver’s license and clean driving history.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Expectations Related to PRN
- A PRN schedule is typically less than part-time; however, the employee may be requested to work for a day, period of days, or short time period.
- Attendance rules will apply (per EH-9.2), once a schedule is accepted.
- Employee must clock in/out for all time worked, with meal periods of 30 minutes and completely relieved of duties.
- Employee must approve their timecard at the end of each pay period.
- All monthly Paycor Learning must be completed timely.
- Employee is not eligible for attendance bonus, holiday pay, or On-Demand pay.
- Employee is eligible for long-term recognition bonus.
Work Environment
This position will require driving the company vehicle approximately 60 miles per day, between Richmond, Liberty and Connersville.
Overtime: This is an hourly position. Will receive time and a half for hours worked over 40 per work week.
