Courier Service Driver

Beloit Health System is looking to add a Courier Service Driver to our Engineering Team!

Transports medical records, x-rays and medical supplies between Beloit Health System facilities and satellite clinics. Provides general maintenance and basic cleaning needs; assists in the upkeep of the grounds.

• Transports and distributes medical records, correspondence, mail, medical supplies, and specimens from Beloit Memorial Hospital, Beloit Clinic, Outreach facilities, and locations as directed.
• Performs minor maintenance repairs, plumbing, electrical duties and completes work requisitions as directed.
• Performs carpentry, painting and minor surface reconstruction such as drywall patching, wall papering.
• Maintains the building and Outreach facility grounds by mowing and trimming lawn, keeping parking lots lean, shoveling and salting sidewalks and entrances. Performs in-house courier service for medical or business personnel under special circumstances.
• Receives, assembles and distributes new furniture, equipment, file racks and other items as needed.
• Moves equipment and furniture throughout the building to aid medical and business personnel (such as file racks, or recycling cabinets, desks, etc.)
• Monitors appearances of lawns and parking lots; picks up trash and debris; and pulls weeds and trims as assigned.
• Removes trash and hazardous waste as needed; distributes into appropriate containers, while utilizing universal precautions.
• Assists with unloading delivery trucks by hand carrying or cart.
• Provides basic cleaning services as requested; inside, outside and in vehicles.
• Assists with recycling of paper, plastic, glass, tin and aluminum cans in the receiving area.
• Notifies Maintenance Manager of any cleaning or facility problems.
• Enters TMS work orders.
• Keeps the work environment of Beloit Health System facilities pleasant. Cleans up any obtrusive spills, washes windows and replaces light bulbs.
• Assists personnel with transportation problems such as providing jumper cables, and changing flat tires.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Adheres to established Health System and Engineering Department policies, rules and regulations.
• Maintains ethical conduct and keeps confidential personal and medical information about patients.
• Reporting Relationship: Department Director.
