Couriers Insurance Operations Manager

The Opportunity:

Join Meituan’s strategic overseas business and play a key role in building rider protection systems across the Middle East. You will work directly with top global partners, help shape new markets from the ground up, and enjoy a broad, fast-paced environment ideal for rapid career growth and global exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rider Protection Research: Conduct in-depth research on rider insurance practices across Middle Eastern food delivery markets to enhance the platform’s rider protection system and improve delivery experience and safety.
• Insurance Product Design: Develop standardized insurance product portfolios suited to regional market characteristics and riders’ core needs. Lead group insurance negotiations with major insurers to ensure rider-centric policy terms, and work with delivery partners to drive implementation.
• Claims Process Optimization: Streamline claims procedures for clarity and ease of use, address language barriers, and establish compliance-ready disclosure and dispute resolution systems that elevate rider satisfaction.
• Digital Insurance Platform Development: Build a one-stop digital insurance service platform for policy management and claims tracking, along with strong operational and monitoring systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with 5+ years of experience in insurance product design or operations. Proven experience in group insurance projects, strong understanding of product design and pricing principles, and fluent English.
• Strong analytical and business insight skills, capable of creating structured solutions through deep market research. Experience building business systems from scratch is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation, partnership management, and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to drive complex multi-stakeholder projects.
• Experience in internet platforms, gig economy insurance operations , or familiarity with digital insurance platform development and operations.
• Familiarity with insurance industry resources in the Middle East .
