> Job Description:

LOD is seeking qualified Court Reporters to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). Court Reporters will attend hearings and proceedings in person, capture verbatim records of testimony and oral decisions, and deliver official transcripts under strict turnaround requirements.

This position is contingent upon contract award and will become available upon award receipt.

> Responsibilities:

· Attending and recording immigration hearings and DOJ proceedings on-site.

· Producing verbatim transcripts of testimony, oral decisions, and proceedings.

· Delivering transcripts within strict deadlines: same-day (by 9:00 PM), next-day (by 9:30 AM), or within 1–20 days depending on request.

· Ensure transcripts meet DOJ/EOIR formatting requirements (cover/title pages, page & line numbering, certification page).

· Comply with DOJ/EOIR instructions regarding what to transcribe (e.g., witness testimony, oral decisions, colloquy if requested).

· Coordinating with DOJ representatives for cancellations, rescheduling, or expedited requests.

> Requirements:

· Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for DOJ Public Trust clearance.

· Certified by the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers (AAERT);

· Or at least one year of experience transcribing digital audio recordings of multi-channel courtroom or other fast-paced, lengthy legal proceedings involving multiple speakers, often without log notes.

· Must use Government-approved or equivalent equipment to process audio recordings (e.g., SONY 4-channel transcriber or RCplayer with foot pedal for DAR).

· Must produce complete and accurate transcripts, free from errors or omissions.

> Compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience and certifications.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
