The New Jersey Judiciary, Hudson Vicinage, is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to work as a Court Services Supervisor 2 in the Criminal Division. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Division Manager) and/or Court Executive 1B (Assistant Division Manager), the selected candidate will supervise and coordinate the diversified work activities of a team composed of professional, paraprofessional, and/or clerical staff, ensuring that the policies and procedures of the organization are carried out in a timely and effective manner. Duties include but are not limited to, regulating, and directing the flow of work within the team, and between teams, in accordance with operating schedules; instruct, mentor, coach, evaluate, provide opportunities for skill building, advocacy, and accountability to team members on work related matters; providing feedback in a constructive manner that promotes professional development; conducting formal work performance evaluations; providing training; developing and maintaining working relationships with internal and external partners; and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings with internal and external stakeholders and leading facilitating meetings. The selected candidate must provide direction for achieving organizational, unit and project goals and must possess strong leadership, a dedication to effective implementation, and a passion for ensuring fidelity to the Criminal mission, strong communication, interpersonal, computer, and project managements skills. Performs related duties as required.
Appointee may be assigned to work within the Recovery Court or Criminal Case Management unit.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above –OR– a law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of general experience as indicated above.
