The Hudson Vicinage is seeking a detailed oriented professional to work as a Court Services Supervisor 2 in the Criminal Division. Under the general direction of the Division Manager and Assistant Division Managers, the successful candidate will coordinate, evaluate and lead a team of professional and support staff. The candidate will also monitor and review a criminal caseload and interact with Judges, staff, the New Jersey bar, and self-represented litigants to ensure that cases are processed efficiently. The selected candidate will develop statistical reports; assist with Criminal Division backlog reduction efforts; report upon the status of cases and projects; encourage and support the judiciary's commitment to excellence, innovation, productive communication, quality customer service, mentoring and training, and the efficient use of resources. Position includes evaluating performance of individuals and the team, mediating conflicts between team members, and other related duties as required. This position also requires strong communication skills and the ability to interact with community leaders and organizations is a plus.
Selected candidates may be required to work evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and/or holidays.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above –OR– a law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of general experience as indicated above.
