Cover Teacher (STEAM Teacher)

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Develop and deliver high-quality STEAM lessons in line with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
• Integrate project-based learning and cross-curricular approaches to promote innovation and collaboration.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learning styles and abilities.

Curriculum & Planning

• Design and implement lesson plans, activities, and projects that combine theory with hands-on application.
• Ensure lessons are aligned with curriculum standards and incorporate real-world problem-solving scenarios.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of the STEAM curriculum, including extra-curricular clubs or competitions.

Assessment & Reporting

• Assess, record, and report on students’ progress in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
• Prepare progress reports for parents and school leadership.

Collaboration & Professional Development

• Work collaboratively with other teachers to integrate STEAM concepts into other subject areas.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in STEAM education.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Student Engagement & Wellbeing

• Encourage students to participate in STEAM-related events, competitions, and exhibitions.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
