CR Learning Technology Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The CR Learning Technology Manager is responsible for scoping, building, and delivering relevant, compelling, and scalable learning experiences for global colleagues across business units, teams, and geographies. This role aligns learning solutions to the global learning strategy through a blended set of modalities (virtual instructor-led training, train-the-trainer, documentation, digital learning, and light video). The Manager owns and optimizes core learning technologies and related global processes to enable an effective, measurable, and continuously improving colleague learning experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Learning Strategy, Consulting, and Experience Design

  • Designs and delivers tailored curricula that use brain-friendly instructional strategies for diverse audiences within a large, global organization.
  • Leads discovery to uncover learning needs; advises stakeholders on outcomes, success measures, and solution options; develops and executes plans that drive business results.
  • Promotes and advances a global colleague experience strategy focused on continuous improvement of the Sedgwick colleague experience.
  • Crafts bespoke learning materials including instructor-led courses, facilitator guides, learning experiences, and light video content; applies adult learning principles and inclusive design practices.
  • Evaluates and improves existing learning solutions; defines objectives and business criteria for new solutions; applies a blended learning philosophy that integrates training, exposure, and experience.
  • Analyzes learning interventions for alignment to business requirements, transfer of learning, adoption, and return on investment; monitors results and recommends improvements.
  • Innovates within the colleague experience and learning space; identifies and pilots new approaches that elevate learning quality, efficiency, and scalability.

Learning Technology Ownership, Governance, and Enablement

  • Owns Workday Learning operations and governance, including global and multilingual engagement/campaign processes from intake, prioritization, consultation, and execution through reporting to senior leadership.
  • Maintains expertise in learning technology trends and platform capabilities; partners with HRIS and internal stakeholders to drive enhancements, integrations, and configuration changes.
  • Manages Workday Learning support workflows (e.g., ServiceNow tickets) by responding to user issues, resolving requests requiring administrator action, and removing/reviewing required learning when needed.
  • Produces and shares learning reporting for leaders; educates leaders on self-service reporting and request processes to improve efficiency and adoption.
  • Owns the annual global compliance learning program end-to-end, including planning with Legal and Compliance, course updates and sourcing (internal learning team and/or Percipio compliance suite), campaign launch, global tracking, and executive reporting.
  • Ensures coverage for non-Workday learning audiences (e.g., temporary staff, Asia, and other populations) through alternate systems or processes; maintains data integrity and audit readiness.

Vendor and Platform Portfolio Management

  • Owns the Skillsoft Percipio relationship and contract in partnership with the learning and development team; manages vendor performance across compliance, business, leadership, and tech & development catalogs and oversees Workday Learning integration.
  • Leads renewal negotiations, cost management, and invoice/payment oversight in coordination with Procurement; ensures vendor deliverables meet cost, quality, timeline, and service expectations.
  • Owns Articulate 360 Enterprise license program management, including vendor relationship, renewal negotiation, and payment oversight.
  • Administers enterprise license allocation changes (additions/removals) as colleagues enter/exit training roles; completes pro-rating calculations, cost center approvals, and chargeback processes; coordinates license provisioning and access.
  • Enables the global Trainer Community through templates, standards, support, and upskilling to ensure consistent learning quality and governance.

Program/Project Leadership and Continuous Improvement

  • Leads learning solution development projects, including scope, timelines, stakeholder alignment, and budgets where appropriate; mitigates risks and communicates progress.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge articles and resources for learners and administrators to improve self-service and reduce support volume.
  • Leads efforts to identify and socialize Sedgwick-approved learning technologies (2026–2027), building awareness and adoption plans for the Trainer Community and global organization.
  • Evaluates the Workday course upload and administration process (2026–2027); proposes and implements governance structures, resourcing models, and improvements that reduce administrative burden while preserving quality and compliance.
  • Inputs and maintains colleague attendance records for live learning events where required; ensures accurate completion data and reporting.

Stakeholder Communication and Influence

  • Communicates clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders—including senior leaders—regarding learning technology changes, optimization opportunities, platform capabilities, and improvement plans.
  • Listens to stakeholders in multiple settings to understand needs specific to learning technology and translates those needs into actionable solutions and roadmaps.
  • Provides informed recommendations on new and emerging technology options available to Sedgwick to strengthen global learning strategy and execution.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Travel as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, HR, Business, Education, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.

Eight (8) years of related experience to include significant experience designing and delivering learning solutions in a global organization, including virtual instructor-led and blended learning approaches and a demonstrated experience owning or administering learning technologies (e.g., Workday Learning and/or comparable LMS/LXP) and managing vendor relationships and renewals, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Advanced expertise in instructional design, curriculum architecture, and adult learning principles; applies data-driven approaches to measure effectiveness and improve learning outcomes
  • Strong learning technology fluency, including learning management ecosystems, integrations, governance, and scalable global operations
  • Strong consulting skills (discovery, problem framing, stakeholder alignment, outcomes definition, solution design, and change enablement)
  • Applies disciplined project/program management practices; manages multiple priorities, stakeholders, timelines, and vendors simultaneously
  • Produces actionable reporting and insights; communicates complex information to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Models strong business acumen, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Operates effectively in a global, matrixed environment; demonstrates cultural awareness and adaptability
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
