Skilled Carpenter / Craftsman: $30 to $40/hr, Indoor Factory, Guaranteed 40 Hours + Overtime (Salinas, CA)

We're a builder that owns its own factory in Salinas and has been putting up quality homes and ADUs for years. A real operation with a full factory floor and office, not a two-truck outfit. Eric, our craftsman trainer, has 40+ years in the trade, and the people who work hard here move up.

What you'll build

• Rough framing to spec, weatherproofing, and structural work
• Window, door, and siding installation
• Roofing, interior finishing, flooring, and final detail work
• Clean, accurate work that holds to our build standards

What we're looking for

• Genuinely high-skilled craftsmen. We're not hiring warm bodies. If you're one of the best framers or finish carpenters in the county, we built this job for you, and we'll pay you like it.
• 3+ years of framing or residential carpentry (this is not an entry-level role)
• Confident with the tools of the trade and able to read and build to plans
• Shows up on time (or early), works safe, and takes pride in the finished product
• Coachable, reliable, and ready to move fast in a busy shop
• Trade school training is a plus, not a requirement

The pay and the deal

• $30/hour to start. That's $62,400/year at a guaranteed 40 hours, before overtime.
• Up to $40/hour for the truly exceptional. Everyone starts at $30 and proves their skill on the floor. Show us you're worth more and your rate climbs. Your work sets your pay, not your resume.
• Overtime is real here. When we ask you to stay late to finish a build, you earn time-and-a-half. Our hardest workers take home a lot more than base.
• A floor you can count on: 40 hours guaranteed every week, even on slow weeks when other shops would send you home.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime when we're pushing to finish.

Location:

• 1610 Moffett Street, Salinas, CA 93905. On-site at our factory. Some site work required.
