Crane Operator

Operate ships gear cranes and other specialized heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner with the objective of loading or unloading bulk cargo to or from a vessel.

Prepare equipment by conducting operator inspections, performing preventive maintenance checks.

Accomplishes work by operating equipment, observing varying conditions, adjusting equipment controls.

Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by consistently adhering to standards and procedures, complying with company policies and legal regulations.

Reporting hazards or concerns to your supervisor.

Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, calling for repairs.

Updates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities.

Accomplishes operations and organizations mission by completing related results as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum of 1-year experience operating cranes

Flexible schedule; rotating shifts, days, nights, weekends and holidays as required

High School diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license

Ability to qualify for TWIC card

Ability to pass pre-employment screening to include, drug screen, physical and background check
