Job Title: Crane Operator – Industrial Conveyors & Silos

Location: Chennai

Reports To: Site Supervisor / Operations Manager

Job Type: Full-Time / Shift-Based

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to support operations involving Industrial conveyors and Industrial silos. The ideal candidate will have experience operating overhead cranes, tower cranes, or mobile cranes in industrial settings. You will be responsible for the safe lifting, movement, and placement of heavy equipment, materials, and components related to bulk material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cranes to lift, move, position, and place equipment and materials associated with industrial conveyors, chutes, hoppers, and silos.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, or removal of conveyor systems and silo structures.
• Work closely with rigging teams, signal persons, and ground personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Inspect cranes and lifting gear daily to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues immediately.
• Adhere to load limits and safety protocols during crane operations.
• Interpret load charts, blueprints, and lift plans.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to understand the logistics of lifting and placing components.
• Support shutdown, repair, or construction projects involving bulk material handling systems.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses (JHA).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Crane Operator Certification (e.g., NCCCO, CIC, or local equivalent).
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience operating cranes in an industrial or construction setting.
• Familiarity with bulk material handling equipment, such as conveyor belts, silos, feeders, and dust collection systems.
• Ability to read and interpret lifting plans, rigging diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of crane signals, rigging techniques, and load calculations.
• Good physical condition with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces if needed.
• Commitment to safe work practices and incident prevention.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
