This role is responsible for creating compelling short-form video content, graphic designs, and social media-ready deliverables. To thrive in this role, you should be creatively driven, highly organized, and always two steps ahead when it comes to trends and creative ideas. You’re someone who loves a strong aesthetic, understands how content works for business goals, and takes pride in making things look just right.
This is a hybrid role, so you’ll work remotely most days but attend occasional in-person shoots or meetings. Applicants must live in or near Emerald Isle, Morehead City, Beaufort, or Swansboro to be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run monthly or quarterly content shoots at client locations
- Capture and edit high-quality short-form video (Reels/TikToks, behind-the-scenes, b-roll, etc.)
- Create Instagram Stories, carousel graphics, and visual assets in Canva
- Follow brand guidelines for each client and ensure content is cohesive
- Upload, organize, and label all content into shared client folders
- Stay on top of social trends and bring fresh creative ideas to shoots and strategy
- Communicate clearly with the Set Sail team and deliver content on time
YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF...
- Are confident filming and editing content on your phone
- Are fluent in Canva, CapCut (or similar), and social platform tools
- Have a great eye for design, trends, and storytelling
- Love working independently but thrive as part of a creative team
- Are detail-oriented and can manage multiple client projects at once
- Have strong time management skills and excellent follow-through
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, film, graphic design, social media, journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of marketing and social media experience for businesses
- Prior experience creating social media posts, videos, and graphics required
- Advanced knowledge of social media tools; such as CapCut and Canva
BONUS POINTS IF YOU:
- Have experience using Meta Business Suite or Monday.com
- Have worked with multiple brands or in an agency setting before
- Enjoy organizing content as much as you do creating it
- Can capture BTS content on the fly without missing the moment
- Love AI and continue to learn ways to be more efficient
