Kero Creative is a growing, woman-owned startup based in Fargo, North Dakota, and we’d like to welcome you to the team as a Content Specialist ! We offer team members a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and a place for creative professionals to grow, thrive and importantly, play.

We currently have a full-time role available, and haven't yet found a candidate with a more comprehensive spread of graphic design, copywriting/content, video, website design/development, digital advertising experience. That's why we're considering a couple part-time roles to split out skillsets, but if you suggest in a cover-letter you want full-time we'll take that into consideration!

As a hybrid marketing agency, we serve small to mid-sized businesses through brand development, which includes graphic design, web design/development, social media management, photography, videography, digital advertising and copywriting.

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Content Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing engaging digital content across multiple platforms, with skills both managing content and navigating graphic design. This role requires a strong understanding of content strategy, SEO best practices, and digital marketing tools to enhance brand visibility and drive audience engagement.

This opportunity is ideal for those seeking part-time or contracted work. The candidate must be within the Fargo-Moorhead area to support collaborative work with our founder and on-site client meetings.

This job will be split into two categories: graphic design and content creation (copy/social/digital):

Content Creation (Copy/Social/Digital):

  • Collaborating with Kero Creative on internal and client projects
  • Contributing to multimedia advertising, marketing and communications campaigns
  • Creating with various types of basic/entry-level software including Canva, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Crafting copy for, and editing of, email marketing campaigns, print/digital ads, informational one-pagers, press releases, journalistic-styled articles, website copy, marketing materials, etc.
  • Ideating social media campaigns and content – from planning through to posting/execution
  • Insert/edit content and media within Content Management Systems (CMS): i.e. WordPress, HubSpot, etc.
  • Understanding company and clients’ brands, products and/or services
  • Adjusting content on websites for clients (as your skills allow)
  • Assisting with social media management and other digital marketing activities
  • Work within Zoho Projects and client project management portals to efficiently and effectively ensure we keep client projects moving, meet deadlines and ensure client satisfaction.

Graphic Design:

  • Collaborating with coworkers on internal and client projects
  • Contributing to multimedia advertising, marketing and communications campaigns
  • Identifying marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation
  • Creating with various types of software including the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Exercising creative direction when it comes to design
  • Designing print and digital materials and websites at the highest standard
  • Understanding company and clients’ brands, products and/or services
  • Assisting with development of websites, social media campaigns, video animations, illustrations and other marketing materials

Skills + Experience Requested:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or related fields
  • Proficiency in SEO, WordPress, HTML, CSS, and content management systems. (for posting content)
  • Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, as well as experience with photography, and graphic design. (3-5 years)
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives tailored to different audiences. (3-5 years)
  • Knowledge of content strategy, content creation, and overall content management best practices. (3-5 years)
  • Experience with social media management platforms and tools for scheduling and analytics (3-5 years)
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, keyword research tools, and data-driven decision-making processes related to digital marketing campaigns. (3-5 years)
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment; strong organizational skills are essential.
