Summary of the position:
The Creative Director leads the Creative Department of Transformation Church and provides vision, direction, and execution for all creative expressions across multiple platforms. This position oversees the Photography Team, Content Team, and Online Team and is responsible for building, developing, and caring for the people on those teams. The Creative Director ensures the creation and implementation of compelling and cohesive content that supports weekend services, churchwide events, and the overall mission of Transformation Church. This includes creative direction and execution for social media, website, photography, videography, graphic design, and print materials.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain a culture of health, care, and development among all Creative Team members and leaders.
- Develop Coaches and Team Leaders for the Photography, Content, and Online teams.
- Develop and implement clear systems for recruiting, onboarding, and training new volunteers for creative teams.
- Lead the creative process for weekend services, collaborating with the Programming Team on series planning, stage design, media needs, and visual storytelling.
- Guide the ideation and production of content for social media, email, web, and print to align with the mission and voice of Transformation Church.
- Oversee and maintain the creative calendar in coordination with churchwide events, sermon series, and departmental needs.
- Supervise all creative content creation including photography, videography, graphic design, and motion graphics.
- Manage the development and updates of the church website and ensure design, functionality, and content are current and mission-aligned.
- Ensure cohesive branding and creative standards across all church media, events, and ministries.
- Coordinate with other departments to provide creative support and resources as needed.
- Provide project timelines and clear communication to stakeholders and staff for creative deliverables.
- Maintain ownership of final quality control for all visual content before distribution.
- Oversee copyright compliance, creative licensing, and proper use of intellectual property across all platforms.
Other duties and responsibilities:
- Research and explore trends, tools, and techniques to keep the church’s creative output fresh and culturally relevant.
- Respond to emails, messages, and creative requests in a timely manner (within 24 hours).
- Attend and contribute to Programming and Staff meetings.
- Provide creative consultation and support to various teams as needed.
- Collaborate with outside vendors, freelancers, and creative professionals when necessary.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- Strong leadership and team development skills, particularly in volunteer environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and care for teams of creatives.
- Proven experience overseeing a variety of creative disciplines (photography, video, design, digital media).
- Proficiency in creative tools and platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Google Suite, and Planning Center.
- Experience managing projects across multiple departments and deadlines.
- Knowledge of digital platforms including social media management and website design/functionality.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for the local church and creative storytelling that serves the Gospel.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
