Creative Director / Hybrid Videographer (Photo + Video Production)

Sharkey Media Group is a South Florida production company based out of Palm Beach County specializing in high-end real estate, luxury lifestyle, and marine content. We create cinematic photography and video for top-performing agents, luxury properties, and premium brands across the region.

We are currently looking for a Creative Director / Hybrid Videographer to join our team. This role is designed for someone who doesn’t just operate a camera, but understands how to guide a shoot, shape a story, and elevate the quality of the final production.

Our creators approach every shoot with structure, creative direction, and a defined workflow, helping clients feel comfortable on camera while producing content that stands above typical real estate media.

This role begins as a contract / per-project position, with the opportunity to grow into consistent part-time or full-time work for the right person.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a hybrid creative with experience in both photo and video production, with a primary focus on video.

You will work alongside our team during client productions while also helping create behind-the-scenes (BTS) and marketing content for Sharkey Media Group.

This position begins with a training and onboarding period where we will work closely with you to align with our production process, workflow, and creative standards.

ResponsibilitiesOn-Site Production

• Assist with photo and video shoots for client projects
• Capture professional photo and video content depending on production needs
• Film behind-the-scenes (BTS) content during productions
• Help guide clients on camera to achieve the best results
• Contribute to creative direction and shot execution on set

Editing

• Edit BTS and marketing content using Final Cut Pro
• Produce short-form content for social media
• Organize media and assist with footage workflows

Creative Tasks

• Assist with creative concepts for marketing content
• Help produce content for Sharkey Media Group’s social channels
• Contribute ideas that improve storytelling and production quality

Typical work distribution:

• 50% Editing
• 30% Shooting
• 20% Creative / marketing tasks

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Highly organized and detail oriented
• A strong visual storyteller
• Comfortable working with luxury brands and high-end properties
• Able to take ownership of projects
• Collaborative and creative on set
• Motivated to grow into a leadership role within production
• Interested in eventually running shoots independently and leading creative direction

Experience - Junior to Mid-Level Creative

Requirements:

• Experience with videography
• Working knowledge of photography
• Editing experience using Final Cut Pro
• Understanding of social media video formats
• Comfortable working on-location with clients

Industry background may vary — we are open to creatives from different industries who have strong visual instincts and a willingness to learn.

Equipment

**Applicants preferably own their own camera gear, though company equipment will be provided when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• FAA Part 107 Drone Certification
• Experience filming real estate, architecture, lifestyle, or luxury brands
• Basic drone operation experience
• Motion graphics or design experience

Applicants with Part 107 certification may qualify for higher project pay.

• Pay varies based on project scope and responsibilities
