Creative Graphic Designer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Creative Graphic Designer with experience in the signage, wayfinding, and environmental graphics industry. This role is ideal for someone who can combine strong visual design skills with practical knowledge of sign fabrication methods, materials, brand standards, and production-ready artwork. The ideal candidate will develop compelling design concepts for architectural signage, monument signs, interior branding, directional systems, ADA signage, and large-format environmental graphics. This position requires both conceptual creativity and technical accuracy to ensure designs are visually impactful and ready for fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create original design concepts for exterior and interior signage systems

- Develop branded environmental graphics, wall murals, donor walls, monument signs, and wayfinding programs

- Translate client brand guidelines into cohesive signage design solutions

- Prepare production-ready artwork, shop drawings support graphics, and print files

- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, fabricators, and installers to ensure design feasibility

- Select colors, typography, finishes, materials, and graphic layouts suitable for fabrication

- Design ADA-compliant room IDs, directories, and code-required signage packages

- Revise artwork based on client comments, site conditions, and fabrication requirements

- Maintain consistency across multi-site or large-scale signage rollouts

- Support presentations, mockups, renderings, and client-facing design packages

- Stay updated on trends in environmental graphics, signage materials, illumination, and fabrication technologies

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, Environmental Design, or related field

- 3+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in the signage, architectural, or environmental graphics industry

- Strong portfolio showcasing signage, branding, wayfinding, or large-format design projects - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

- Experience preparing artwork for print, CNC routing, vinyl cutting, or fabrication workflows

- Strong understanding of typography, hierarchy, color theory, and layout principles

- Knowledge of ADA signage standards and accessibility guidelines is a plus

- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment - Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills: - Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CAD Tools, SketchUp - Knowledge of sign materials such as acrylic, aluminum, ACM, vinyl, illuminated faces, and dimensional lettering - Familiarity with large-format printing and fabrication tolerances - Experience in architectural signage, multi-family, healthcare, hospitality, campus, or corporate environments.
