ABOUT THE ROLE

Devji Aurum is looking for a rare creative powerhouse who can lead our brand’s visual identity and simultaneously bring it to life on the shop floor. This is a senior dual-function role combining Creative Direction with hands-on Visual Merchandising . The right candidate will shape how our brand looks, feels, and speaks across every customer touchpoint, from campaign concepts to window displays.

This role demands a visionary thinker with practical execution skills and someone equally comfortable presenting a brand campaign to leadership and re-dressing a display stand on the floor.

PART A — CREATIVE HEAD RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Identity & Creative Strategy

  • Define, protect, and evolve the Devji Aurum brand identity across all visual and communication touchpoints
  • Develop seasonal creative concepts, mood boards, and brand storytelling frameworks aligned with business goals
  • Establish brand guidelines covering typography, colour palettes, imagery standards, and tone of voice
  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions and translate brand vision into actionable design briefs

Campaign & Content Direction

  • Conceptualize and direct marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal promotions end-to-end
  • Art-direct photography, videography, and digital content shoots to ensure brand consistency
  • Oversee the creation of all creative assets — print, digital, social media, & in-store OOH
  • Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to ensure campaign execution aligns with creative vision

Design Oversight & Production

  • Supervise graphic design, layout, and artwork production for all brand materials
  • Review and approve all creative output before final production or publication
  • Manage external agencies, freelancers, photographers, videographers and vendors to deliver projects on time and on brand
  • Ensure all creative deliverables meet brand standards, deadlines, and budget parameters

Photography & Videography

  • Plan, direct, and oversee all in-house photography and videography productions including product shoots, campaign shoots, and behind-the-scenes content
  • Operate or supervise camera equipment, lighting setups, and studio configurations to achieve the desired brand aesthetic
  • Handle post-production processes including photo editing, colour grading, retouching, and video editing using industry-standard software
  • Develop shot lists, storyboards, and production briefs for each shoot to ensure clarity and efficiency on set
  • Build and maintain an organised library of photography and video assets for use across marketing, digital, and in-store channels
  • Scout locations, manage shoot logistics, and coordinate with models, stylists, and production crew as needed
  • Produce short-form video content for all types of social media aligned with brand storytelling goals

Digital & Social Creative

  • Guide the creative direction of social media content calendars, digital ads, and e-commerce visuals
  • Stay ahead of design trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to keep the brand fresh and relevant
  • Maintain a consistent visual language across all digital platforms and channels

PART B — VISUAL MERCHANDISING RESPONSIBILITIES

Store Layout & Display Planning

  • Plan and execute in-store layouts, product zoning, and traffic flow strategies to maximize customer engagement
  • Design and implement window displays, feature walls, and focal displays that reflect current campaign themes
  • Develop seasonal VM planograms, fixture guides, and display schematics for consistent store execution
  • Regularly audit store presentations and ensure all displays meet brand and VM standards

Product Styling & Presentation

  • Style and arrange product displays to highlight key collections, hero pieces, and promotional items
  • Coordinate with the buying and retail teams to align product placement with sales priorities
  • Ensure proper lighting, signage, props, and fixtures are used to enhance product appeal
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, order, and visual impact across all display areas at all times

Seasonal & Promotional VM

  • Plan and lead VM changes for new seasons, festive periods, product launches, and promotional events
  • Source, procure, and manage props, mannequins, display materials, and VM fixtures within budget
  • Create visual merchandising briefs and training guides for retail staff and store teams
  • Execute installations on time with minimal disruption to store operations

VM Reporting & Standards

  • Document VM setups with photography and maintain a visual reference library for future use
  • Report on VM effectiveness and contribute to retail performance reviews
  • Train and guide store staff on maintaining VM standards on a day-to-day basis

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Fashion, or a related creative field
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a combined or senior creative and visual merchandising role working with Luxury brands (Jewellery / Fashion )
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand campaigns, creative direction, and in-store VM executions
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch up ); knowledge of video/motion a plus
  • Solid understanding of retail store layouts, planogramming, and product display techniques
  • Experience in the jewellery, luxury retail, fashion, or lifestyle sector strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in Bahrain or the GCC market is a distinct advantage
