Creative Lead
for one of our partners, a pioneer in the Media Production field!
About
The
Creative Lead i
s the taste-maker: they ensure every piece of content that leaves is on-brand, on-brief, and on-quality.
Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Direction
-
Define the creative strategy for each retainer client: visual identity, tone of voice, content pillars, and aesthetic direction
-
Lead creative kickoffs for new clients and campaigns
-
Create or approve treatments, moodboards, and concept decks for pitches
-
Ensure brand consistency across all deliverables for each client
-
Stay ahead of visual trends in social media, short-form video, and branded content in the MENA region
Quality Control & Creative Review
-
Conduct creative reviews at two stages: concept/pre-production and final/pre-delivery
-
Provide clear, actionable feedback to editors, designers, and motion artists — not vague opinions
-
Establish and maintain a creative quality checklist (color grading standards, pacing guidelines, text/typography rules, audio standards)
-
Review and approve all client-facing content before delivery
-
Build a style guide that freelancers can reference independently
AI-Augmented Creative Production
-
Use AI tools actively in the creative process: Midjourney/DALL-E for concept moodboards, Runway/Kling for motion concepts, Sora for video ideation, ChatGPT for copywriting drafts
-
Define which parts of the creative process can be AI-assisted vs. which require human craft
-
Create AI-assisted content templates that scale production without sacrificing quality
-
Train and mentor freelance creatives on AI-augmented workflows
-
Develop case studies showing AI-enhanced output to use in client pitches
Pitch & New Business Support
-
Create pitch decks and creative treatments for new business proposals
-
Participate in key pitch meetings to present creative vision
-
Build a portfolio/showreel that demonstrates the company's creative range
Requirements
-
5–10 years of experience in creative direction, art direction, or senior creative roles in agencies, production houses, or brand studios
-
Strong portfolio demonstrating work across video content, social media, and brand campaigns
-
Proven ability to direct video shoots: framing, lighting, pacing, storytelling
-
Expert-level understanding of post-production: editing pacing, color grading, motion graphics, sound design
-
Active user of at least 3 AI creative tools (Midjourney, Runway, Kling, Sora, CapCut AI, ElevenLabs, or similar)
-
Ability to give clear, structured creative feedback that improves work rather than confusing the team
-
Fluent in Arabic; professional English
-
Experience with Egyptian and MENA brand markets (understands local aesthetics, cultural nuances, client expectations)
-
Has built or contributed to brand style guides
-
Experience leading a small creative team (even freelancers)
-
Has pitched and won creative work in competitive agency pitches
-
Personal creative brand: active on social media, produces their own content, or has a recognized creative voice
-
Has a strong point of view but is not a dictator — collaborates, doesn’t just impose
-
Obsessed with quality: notices the small details that separate good from great (the 2-frame timing issue, the slightly wrong color temperature, the awkward text placement)
-
AI-curious to AI-enthusiastic: sees AI as a creative tool, not a threat; actively experiments
-
Can operate in a fractional model: self-directed, doesn’t need hand-holding, delivers on review days without being managed
-
Inspires the team: freelancers and junior creatives want to work with this person because they learn something every time
