Role description

Creative Manager – Art Director

About us

At Grant Thornton, we believe in making business more personal and building trust into every result. We’re highly collaborative, obsessed with quality and ready for anything. We challenge the expectations of what a professional services firm is and can be, and in this role we expect you to do the same.

About you

  • You’re a visionary creative leader with a proven track record of shepherding unexpected ideas from concept to execution.
  • You’re athletic and possess a rare blend of intellectual flexibility, knowing when to build, stick to, or challenge a process to achieve the best work.
  • You have a decade+ experience in creative roles, including several years in leadership roles, either agency- or in-house.
  • You are deeply empathetic, generous with team members, and inspiring them to reach new creative heights.
  • You have an inherent drive for excellence and are internally motivated to push creative limits, striving for work that excites and surprises.
  • You are a talented communicator, skilled at leading a creative room, and winning over people with your ideas and your POV.
  • You have a curious mind who brings energy, asks great questions, and makes conversations engaging.

About the role

This is a critical role for the Creative team. You will support defining the future of our creative culture and leadership as the firm continues to expand its global footprint and multi-national platform.

Serving the Go To Market function, our award-winning Creative team launches multi-channel campaigns that grow our business and creatively differentiate us from our category. We are a team of fast-moving strategists, designers, writers as well as video and motion designers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing visionary creative leadership across our team’s output, design, video, UX, events and emerging creative formats.
  • Inspiring and mentoring a diverse creative team, fostering their growth and helping them do the best work of their careers.
  • Championing groundbreaking creative ideas from ideation through flawless execution across our global platform.
  • Support refining creative processes that empower autonomy and lead to truly differentiated, award-winning work (not just box-checking).
  • Serving as a tastemaker and vibe-setter for the team’s creative product, always pushing for fresh perspectives and challenging the status quo.
  • Building on our unique culture by empowering creative teams and fostering a highly collaborative and independent environment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • 10 years of professional experience in an agency or in-house design team, with a minimum 3 years of art direction or a creative lead role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead integrated creative campaigns across digital, print and motion platforms.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Figma, and presentation tools like PowerPoint or Keynote.
  • Strong portfolio reflecting creative leadership, design innovation, and strategic thinking.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; adept at articulating design rationale and collaborating across functions and geographies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-regional setup is highly desirable.

Why Join Us

We foster a supportive, open culture that encourages innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth through structured development programs.
