Creative Specialist

About this Role:

We’re looking for a highly creative, hands-on Creative Specialist who loves building brands through design, content, and visual storytelling.

This role is centered around creating. You’ll design graphics, build social content, support website visuals, develop ads and brochures, and bring campaigns to life across platforms. You’ll work closely with our Account Managers and Creative Strategists to execute ideas that drive results for our clients.

You don’t need to start by managing accounts — but you do need to care deeply about quality, creativity, and delivering strong visual work that aligns with strategy.

This role is ideally a full-time, on-site position based in Ludington, Michigan. We believe creativity thrives in collaboration, and being part of our in-person team is the preferred structure for this role. However, we are open to a part-time arrangement for the right candidate.

What Winning Looks Like:

TIER 1 PRIORITIES- CLIENT CREATIVE & DESIGN EXECUTION (50% or more)

• Design graphics, ads, brochures, and marketing collateral
• Create brand assets, including logos, layouts, and visual systems
• Design website visuals, page mockups, and assist in web layout concepts
• Develop campaign graphics across digital and print platforms
• Ensure brand consistency across all creative materials
• Prepare final files for print, digital, and web use

TIER 2 PRIORITIES- SOCIAL & DIGITAL CONTENT CREATION (30%)

• Create engaging social content (static posts, carousels, reels, short-form video)
• Film and capture content using an iPhone and lightweight gear for social campaigns
• Edit short-form video for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms
• Assist in developing visual storytelling concepts for campaigns
• Support paid ad creative development
• Help build and organize content libraries for clients

TIER 3 PRIORITIES- TEAM & PRODUCTION SUPPORT (20% / As needed)

• Assist Account Managers with brochures, pitch decks, and presentations
• Collaborate with strategists to visually bring campaign ideas to life
• Support website builds with graphics, visuals, and layout suggestions
• Assist on video shoots when needed (low priority but valuable)
• Help edit podcast content or short-form clips
• Contribute to internal marketing campaigns for our agency

How will you achieve these priorities?

• Translating strategy and briefs into compelling visual design
• Working collaboratively with Account Managers, Producers, and Creative Strategists
• Staying organized through project management tools (we use Monday)
• Moving efficiently between multiple client projects
• Bringing creative ideas to brainstorming sessions
• Keeping a sharp eye for detail, typography, layout, and brand consistency
• Staying current on social trends and digital best practices

Skills Needed to Win:

• Strong graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite required: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Comfortable editing short-form video (Premiere Pro, Edits, CapCut, or similar)
• Experience creating content for social platforms
• Ability to shoot basic social content on iPhone or DSLR/Mirrorless Camera
• Understanding of branding, typography, and layout principles
• Basic understanding of website design concepts (Squarespace/WordPress familiarity a plus)
• Ability to take direction and execute creative efficiently
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field)
• A sense of humor is a MUST

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
