Our Opportunity

GPJ is hiring a Creative Technologist to join our growing team.

This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to one of the following office locations a minimum of 2 days/week: Austin, Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, Las Vegas, New York City, or San Francisco.

Your Role

Our Creative Technology team is harnessing the power of experiential in all its forms to create experiences for humans in both fully digital and physical environments, enabled, amplified, and extended by technology. This is a rapidly evolving space where our work centers around constant innovation to push the limits of technology in the event space.

As the Creative Technologist (CT), you will be responsible for the digital perspective in the creative process, collaborating and leading in the concept and development of innovative projects from web, apps, and bots to large-scale physical/digital activations. You will partner with our Creative and Strategy teams and guide our Account and Production teams, acting as the voice of technology and innovation to bring new ideas to the table and push on existing concepts. Your role is to weave technology into the entire event experience, from initial planning through final execution.

You are someone who lives, breathes, and conceptualizes in the digital world. You have a contagious passion for technology and love creating things that have never been made before. You understand the importance of data in personalizing experiences and are a natural storyteller, always seeking new ways to make narratives engaging. Internally, you will constantly seek out and explore inspiration that helps us raise the bar on innovation, creativity, and imagination for all the work we produce.

Your Skills

  • Strong digital storytelling and branding with an ability to clearly, simply, and effectively communicate and present your ideas, concepts, and vision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of establishing credibility with key contributors.
  • Superb time-management skills with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and shift priorities with little notice.
  • A deep curiosity and thirst for exploration; your finger is on the pulse of new and emerging technologies with an in-depth understanding of digital marketing channels.
  • A strong perspective on the role of technology and a passionate, confident voice.

Your Experience

Experience & Education

  • College degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience creating content for digital/social/mobile platforms and/or delivering tech-led brand experiences in a digital marketing or similar agency setting.

Travel & Mobility

  • Ability to travel up to 35%
  • You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. You have the ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Your Impact

In your role, you will have influence and responsibility over:

  • Developing original concepts, ideas, and designs that answer project/brand briefs and position clients for success.
  • Consulting with account leads, program management, and the strategic planning team to determine the right digital activations for each project.
  • Working with art directors, copywriters, and designers on creative executions.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to bring ideas to life, supervising production as needed.
  • Building prototypes when appropriate, writing production code, or leading third parties to execute the vision.
  • Serving as the digital expert for the team—presenting and selling ideas and creative work, both internally and to clients.
  • Staying current on the latest digital trends and innovations, inspiring our creative teams with what's possible.
  • Bringing a fun, creative, and positive energy to work every day, creating relationships that help drive big ideas.
  • Understanding all key agency resources and bringing them together to produce exceptional results for the client.
  • Assuming ultimate responsibility for the final quality and accuracy of the end product of all creative team members.
  • Seeking to continuously improve how we work.

Salary Range: $120k - $130k

Salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, skills, and location.
