As seen on Shark Tank, Creator Camp is the fastest-growing creative-tech summer camp on a mission to reorient kids’ relationship with technology from consumption to creation by teaching media art topics like filmmaking, animation, music production, content creation, game design, and entrepreneurship.

Since 2021, Creator Camp has quickly expanded across the US, serving more than 7,000 young creators.

Creator Camp is expanding to Chicago for Summer 2026, and we’re looking for a Summer Camp Director to take the lead in launching and running our newest region. If you’re an experienced educator, team builder, and operations-minded leader who loves working with kids and creatives, this role might be perfect for you.

About the Role

January–May (Remote Part-Time)

You’ll be building Chicago’s summer team from the ground up:

  • Hire 4 full teams (totals around 15 instructors + 4 camp managers)
  • Conduct roughly 90 hours of interviews across the hiring season
  • Lead orientation & training for camp managers and instructors in May
  • Work directly with HQ to learn systems, processes, and operations (training provided)

June–August (In-person Full-Time)

You’ll run 4 Chicago camp locations during summer operations:

  • Oversee daily operations across the entire region
  • Liaise with partnered school/facility locations
  • Allocate supplies & manage inventory for all sites
  • Lead weekly meetings with Camp Managers
  • Perform walk-in quality checks and maintain culture standards
  • Ensure smooth communication between staff, families, and HQ
  • Keep things joyful, safe, and on-brand for hundreds of young creators

Support and training are provided early on, but this quickly becomes your region to shape.

  • Friendly and proactive customer service

We’re looking for someone who’s organized, upbeat, calm under pressure, and genuinely excited by building a seasonal team and community.
